Owen and my dad were talking on the phone this morning. Daddy asked Owen if he was Papa's (his) boy. Owen said no. He asked if he were Mama's boy. Owen said, "No, I Austin's boy!" Needless to say, we were both laughing!

Being Deceptive
I have been having an extremely difficult time getting Owen to eat his veggies lately. Austin and I have resorted to bribery but know that we cannot bribe Owen at every meal he sits down to. My mom bought me the cookbook Deceptively Delicious by Jessica Seinfeld and I thought I would give it a try. First, it is a wonderful resource even if you are not planning on "hiding" vegetables in your foods. There is a section on just equipping your kitchen, stocking your pantry and the how-to's of pureeing vegetables and fruits. The book gives an easy to understand nutritional guide for children and tells what is exactly in specific vegetables and fruits. It also states which veggies are fruits are better for you than others. The recipes look really good and easy. I made chocolate chip cupcakes tonight. :) We'll soon see how Austin and Owen like the Deceptively Delicious meals.

Children's Museum
We took Owen to the Lowcountry Children's Museum yesterday and had a wonderful time. Owen played and played. It was hard to get him to leave one area to see what else there was to do. His favorite area was WaterWise! He had fun on the shrimp boat, with the raceways and in the Charleston Market. He enjoyed the Totally Toddler area even though he could be considered a little too big for it. The big kids had taken over the castle, but we did get to play in there for a short time. Of course, we couldn't leave without creating a piece of art! :)

Donate a Mammogram
Please tell ten friends to tell ten today! The Breast Cancer site is having trouble getting enough people to click on their site daily to meet their quota of donating at least one free mammogram a day to an underprivileged woman. It takes less than a minute to go to their site and click on 'donating a mammogram' -- for free (pink window in the middle). This does not cost you a thing. Their corporate sponsors/advertisers use the number of daily visits to donate a mammogram in exchange for advertising. Here's the web site! Please pass it along to people you know. http://www.thebreastcancersite.com
